"Is everything set?" Whitley asked.

"The men went out at three this afternoon. Last minute training and final preparation for the big push at sunrise tomorrow. At dawn thirty units are set to strike. Since we can't rely on hours old data, the teams will follow the scanners. The tower units are useful, but they are too slow for anything but daylight sweeps."

"I just had this conversation with your cousin. The satellites will be in the air in a few days. Is there anything else you need?"

"With the number of vampires that the AGS is recording, I don't think we have enough units to adequately handle the extermination effort."

"You want more officers?" Whitley asked while calculating numbers in his head.

"More men. More assault vehicles. You're already handling the satellites. More of the vampire-killing streetlights would limit their mobility at night. We should be thinking about strategies that will force them out of risky areas and into locations more conducive to the way we make our sweeps."

"Move them out of the single family homes and into the large apartment buildings downtown? That would be convenient, wouldn't it?" Whitley said sarcastically.

"Yeah. That's it exactly. See if you can set it up," Victor replied without missing a beat.

"Just make sure you don't drive them away from the city. If they vacate it will make your job impossible."
